Huawei announced the Ascend P7 smartphone earlier this year at an event in Paris. After several months, the device has been launched in the Indian market today for a pricing of Rs 27,999. The Ascend P7 can be grabbed via online retailers Flipkart and Amazon India, but an official announcement from Huawei is believed to be made in the next week.
Regarding its specifications, Ascend P7 is fitted with a 5 inch FHD 1080p display that is layered with the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under its hood, there is a proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 910T chipset that houses a Cortex A9 quad-core processor ticking at 1.8 GHz speed, Mali 450 graphics and 2 GB of RAM. The handset comes with 16 GB of internal storage capacity that can be extended further up to 32 GB via a micro SD.
Huawei has focused on the photography department by bestowing the Ascend P7 with a 13 MP primary snapper at its rear with Sony BSI sensor, LED flash, support for FHD 1080p video recording and voice activation. There is an impressive 8 MP front-facing selfie focused shooter with BSI sensor, 5 piece lens with IMAGESmart 2.0 software that packs 10 level auto-facial enhancement and wide angle photo shooting mode. This front-facing camera includes a special feature ‘groufie’ that takes panoramic group selfies.
Connectivity features onboard the Ascend P7 include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC and micro USB. There is a 2,500 mAh battery in the smartphone delivering up to 14 hours of talk time and 404 hours of standby time to it.
The handset is fueled by Android 4.4 KitKat layered with Emotion 2.3 UI with new feature additions such as permission manager, redesigned Do Not Disturb mode and power save engine.
