Micromax Canvas Xpress Launched for 6,999 INR, Availability from December 8 via Flipkart

Leading India based smartphone manufacturer Micromax has launched a new smartphone into the market on December 8. The handset is dubbed Canvas Xpress and it is an entry level device carrying a price tag of Rs 6,999 and it will be made available exclusively via Flipkart.

When it comes to technical specifications, the Micromax Canvas Xpress comes with a 4.5 inch display carrying a FWVGA screen resolution of 854×480 pixels. It is also likely that the smartphone will employ a 1.3 GHz quad core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and expandable storage support. The Micromax offering is said to boast of a 5 MP auto focus primary camera and a VGA front facer for basic selfies and video conferencing.

Connectivity wise, the Canvas Xpress packs 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and dual SIM functionality. The device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system and gets energized by a 1,950 mAh battery.

Talking of other specifications, the Micromax Canvas Xpress will includes features such as Smart Wake for users to open their desires applications via customized gestures and access apps from the lockscreen itself and HotKnot for transferring files to other phones by simply placing their screens together.


Also, the Micromax Canvas Xpress comes with 500 MB free Aircel data per month for first 6 months. Furthermore, the device is preloaded with applications such as BookMyShow, Hike, Clean Master, Opera Mini, Mad, TrueCaller, Yatra, M! Pick, Games Club, M! Live, Reverie Language solution support 21 languages and games including Giga Jump, Marbles and Grow Away.
