India based manufacturers are in the wrath of flooding the market with Android KitKat based smartphones. In an attempt to lure the feature phone users towards smartphones, the vendors are coming up with sub Rs 5,000 priced offerings. Today, Intex has announced the launch of couple of smartphones – Intex Aqua R3 and Aqua V3 priced at Rs 2,570 and Rs 3,260 respectively.
In terms of technical specifications, the Intex Aqua R3 and Aqua V3 share similar specifications carrying a 3.5 inch HVGA display with 320×480 pixel resolution. Also, they resemble each other in the imaging hardware as well with a 2 MP main camera at their back and a VGA front facing selfie snapper. Running on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, the new Intex smartphones support dual SIM functionality.
On the hardware front, the Aqua R3 is stuffed with a 1 GHz processor of unknown chipset, whereas the Aqua V3 makes use of a 1 GHz Spreadtrum processor. Both the smartphones use 256 MB of RAM for basic multitasking. The Aqua R3 packs 512 MB of internal storage space and the Aqua V3 bundles 2 GB of memory capacity respectively.
Connectivity wise, the Aqua V3 supports 3G connectivity and employs a 1,300 mAh battery, whereas the Aqua R3 is a 2G smartphone with a 1,400 mAh battery.
