Philips announced the Philips S388 smartphone official in India few months back for a pricing of Rs 7,795. Now, the vendor has come up with yet another device called Philips S398 that has been listed on its official website without revealing its pricing or availability details. The handset was recently launched in Vietnam and its pricing roughly translates to Rs 8,850 in India.
The Philips S398 features a unique 63 degree curved design and arrives with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system preinstalled. The device boasts of a 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels translating to a pixel density of 294 pixels per inch. Under its hood, the device is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad core MediaTek MT6582M processor paired with 1 GB of RAM.
The device flaunts an 8 MP rear camera at its back with LED flash for better low light photography and a 2 MP front facer for selfies and video conferencing. There is 8 GB of default storage capacity that can be expanded externally by another 32 GB with the help of a micro SD card. The other aspects of the Philips S398 include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, dual SIM functionality and a 2,040 mAh battery.
