HP has today launched its Android tablet HP Slate 6 Voice Tab II and Stream 8 Windows 8.1 tablet with 3G support in India priced at Rs. 15990 and Rs. 16990 respectively. The company also launched HP Pavilion Mini Desktop starting at Rs. 26,990 and and the HP Stream 11 starting at Rs. 19,990.
Commenting on the launch, Ketan Patel, Director, Computing category, Printing and Personal Systems, HP India, said, “Overall demand for innovative and mobility devices is increasing in India and consumers are looking for devices that can be used for both work and play. By introducing this new range of mobile computing devices, HP is looking to blend technology seamlessly into the lifestyle of the new age consumer by catering to their diverse demands around flexibility, performance and style.”
HP Slate 6 VoiceTab II comes with a 6 inch 720p HD touch screen IPS LCD display, powered by 1.2 GHz quad-core Marvell PXA1088 processor with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal memory, expandable up to 32GB with micro SD card.
A dual SIM slot is also present, further blurring the thin line between tablets and phablets. For photography, there is an 8 MP rear/ 2 MP front camera, with LED flash support on the rear side. Battery capacity is 3000 mAh, which doesn’t sound very generous considering the large display size. Other features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 + EDR and GPS.
As the name suggests, HP Stream 8 is an 8 Inch display tablet with usable 1280 x 800 pixels spread across its anti glare IPS LCD display. HP has used 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3735G processor with Intel HD Graphics, 1GB DDR3 RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage to power this Windows 8.1 Slate.
Imaging hardware includes 5 MP rear/ 2 MP front camera. There is a SIM card slot as well, which allows you to access high speed 3G connectivity while on the move. Other features include 32 GB MicroSD support, 4000 mAh battery, , WiFi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0
