A couple of weeks after Redmi 2, Xiaomi has today announced its next flagship phone, Mi Note. This is not a Redmi series Note phablet, and the Mi branding implies high end hardware at lowest possible price.

The Mi Note comes with a 5.7 Inch Full HD display with only 3 mm bezel and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 on both sides. With 2.5 D curved glass on the front and 3D curved glass on the rear surface, the phone measures only 6.95 mm in thickness. The side edge is made of machined aluminum.

The brains within this new Xiaomi Flagship phone is 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 quad core processor, coupled with Adreno 330 GPU, 3 GB RAM and 16 GB/ 64 GB internal storage.

The rear camera has a 13 MP Sony IMX214 CMOS sensor, F2.0 wide aperture 6p lens, dual tone LED flash and supports Optical Image Stabilization. The front 4 MP camera has large 2 Micron pixel size for better low light performance.

The phone also employs ESS ES9018K2M chip with 192kHz / 24bit studio-quality audio decoding and TI’s OPA1612 amplifier for high quality audio output.

Other features include dual SIM functionality, 4G LTE and a 3000 mAh battery. The hanset has been priced at RBM 2,299 or Approx $370. The 64 GB variant will set you back by around $450. The Xiaomi MI4 was appealing to consumers who prefer more manageable 5 inch Display size, while the Mi Note will be pleasing to phablet loving consumers.
