Micromax’s Yu branded Yureka smartphone based on Cyanogen OS is the hottest device in the market currently and it follows the footsteps of Xiaomi by letting out registrations for limited number of units kept on sale. The first batch of Yureka with 10,000 units went on sale in just three seconds providing the overwhelming demand for the device.

Now, Micromax has announced regarding the next flash sale for the smartphone that is slated to happen on January 22. Also, the firm has started accepting registrations for the second sale of the Yureka, which will be open on Amazon India from 2 PM today. However, the specific number of units of the smartphone that will be let out for sale remains unspecified.

The Yureka smartphone is one of the attractive smartphones in the Indian market that provides a great value for the money paid as it is priced reasonably at Rs 8,999 despire supporting 4G LTE. But, the handset is sure to find a tough challenge from the Lenovo A6000 that is also supports 4G LTE and will go on sale via Flipkart from January 28 for Rs 6,999.

To recap on the specifications of Yureka, it is a dual SIM phone with a 5.5 inch HD 720×1280 pixel IPS display and a pixel density of 267 pixels per inch along with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It houses a 64 bit 1.5 GHz octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC teamed up with Adreno 405 graphics engine and 2 GB of RAM.

The device flaunts a 13 MP Sony Exmor CMOS sensor rear camera with auto focus, LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 5P Lens. There is a 5 MP fixed focus camera with wide angle 4P Lens handles the selfies and video conferencing up front. The Yureka bundles 16 GB of inbuilt storage that is expandable via micro SD card up to 32 GB and is given a 2,500 mAh battery. Yureka is packed with connectivity aspects including Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS and a series of sensors.

The Cyanogen OS 11 build is based on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and Micromax has assured to rollout out the Android 5.0 Lollipop based build in future.
