Lenovo today flashed 10,000 units of its budget challenger Lenovo A6000 in India for 2 seconds. Yes, you do need divine powers on your side to buy your choice of device in flash sales, at least in the initial few.
But, as Xiaomi experience teaches us, things are expected to get better after another 7 to 8 flash sales, depending on how much stock Lenovo is willing to put up in the coming sales. However for this to be true, Lenovo will have to come up with a significantly bigger number than 10,000.
Lenovo received total of 2,55,000 registration for the first sale and thus its plausible that the measly stock of just 10,000 units lasted just 2 seconds. Comparing this against other flash sales we have seen so far, this one is perhaps the one that lasted for the shortest time. The registration for the next sales is now open. Lenovo will carry out its weekly sales at 2:00 PM every Wednesday.
Lenovo A6000 is the cheapest 64 bit smartphone in India, powered by 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 quad core processor with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. It flaunts a 5 Inch HD IPS LCD display, which is a good deal for 6,999 INR. Other features include 8 MP rear/ 2 MP front facing camera, MicroSD card slot, 2300 mAh battery and 4G LTE.
