Acer has announced the launch of a new Windows 8.1 based 2 in 1 device called Acer One S1001 in India for a price bracket starting from Rs 19,999. This latest hybrid device can be used either as a tablet or a laptop by detaching and attaching the latch-less keyboard dock. Acer has partnered with online retailer Amazon India to sell the hybrid device in the country.

The Acer One S1001 boasts of a 10 inch HD display and is powered by a 1.33 GHz quad core Intel Atom Z3735F processor paired with 1 GB or 2 GB of RAM. The device boasts of 32 GB of native storage capacity that can be expanded further by another 32 GB using a micro SD card. The keyboard dock comes with inbuilt 500 GB of hard disk drive as well.

Running on Windows 8.1, the Acer One S1001 flaunts a 2 MP main camera and a VGA front facing snapper for video conferencing. There are dual speakers onboard the device and connectivity features including 3G via dongle, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB 2.0 ports and a HDMI port. A 6,000 mAh battery powers the hybrid device from within pumping a decent backup to it.

The device comes packed with free 1 TB of storage and one year subscription to OneDrive cloud storage service. There are several typing, viewing and sharing modes such as Pad mode to use the device as a tablet, Notebook mode, Tent mode and Display mode that will provide an enhanced user experience.

Notably, there are two variants of the Acer One S1001 – 1 GB and 2 GB of RAM and they are priced at Rs 19,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively. The hybrid device debuts on sale via Amazon starting from today.
