Camera and Internal Storage

The primary camera unit in the Lenovo S90 is a 13 MP primary camera with PureCel sensor that is coupled with auto focus and LED flash for better low light photography. Along with rear snapper, there is a front facing 8 MP selfie shooter with BSI sensor that can take care of video conferencing as well. At this pricing, there are many smartphones that arrive with similar aspects making this phone a standard one.

The internal storage is pretty capacious at 32 GB and this should be sufficient for the users to store all the necessary content on their smartphone. Notably, the device lacks expandable storage support as there is no micro SD card slot onboard. For any additional storage requirements, the users will have to depend on the cloud storage services only.

Processor and Battery

The chipset used is in the Lenovo S90 is a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor ticking at 1.2 GHz clock speed. This processor is supplemented with 2 GB of RAM that can render great multi-tasking experience and smooth performance. Moreover, this processor is widely used by many smartphones in the mid range market and it is known for the performance it can render.

Battery capacity of the Lenovo S90 is average at 2,300 mAh, but the battery is likely to provide a moderate backup of a day under mixed usage undoubtedly.

Display and Features

Lenovo has given the smartphone a 5 inch Super AMOLED display that carries a HD resolution of 1280×720 pixels. It appears like this display is pretty standard with a usable pixel density of 294 pixels per inch. Though it is not exceptional in its class, this screen would be decent enough for the usual functionalities.

The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat layered with Vibe 2.0 UI. It is claimed that the Lenovo S90 will be upgradeable to Android 5.0 Lollipop in future, though a specific time period is not mentioned. It packs usual connectivity features such as 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and dual SIM functionality. Like the other Lenovo smartphones, the S580 comes preloaded with DOit applications such as SHAREit, CLONEit, SYNCit and SECUREit.

Comparison

Lenovo S90 will be finding a tough challenge from devices such as Micromax Yureka Yu, Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G, Lenovo Vibe X2, Huawei Honor 6 and others that are priced at lesser price brackets.

Price and Comparison

The Lenovo S90 priced at Rs 19,990 appears to be pretty expensive for the specifications it carries. The handset is an iPhone 6 look alike, but it is only in terms of design and not in terms of specs. There are similar 4G capable mid-range smartphones at lesser price brackets and hence, this device may not be worthy for the pricing it asks.
