At this point of time, there is not much information about the Gionee Elife S7 smartphone. But, the number ’7′ indicates that the device could be measuring 7 mm thick. Notably, the firm has been involved in launching thin smartphones such as the Gionee Elife S5.5 and Gionee Elife S5.1 with 5.5 mm and 5.1 mm slim profiles respectively. The latter grabbed the world’s slimmest smartphone title in the Guinness World Book of Records as well.

As per speculations, if the upcoming handset, the Elife S7 is not slim as the other Chinese models that exist in the market, Gionee could be aiming to equip the device with superior hardware aspects such as enhanced battery and capable processor.

In the meantime, the Gionee teasers that tipped ultra thin smartphones to be on cards suggested that the firm will not compromise on the user experience by launching slim handsets. Also, recent media reports have leaked a Gionee smartphone that measures a mere 4.6 mm thick. If the leaked images are authentic, this device might be the slimmest smartphone in the world, but the other details of the device remain unclear.

Anyways, we need to wait until the handset is launched at the March 2 event to know the complete details.
