MWC 2015: HTC One M9 with 20 MP Rear Camera and Snapdragon 810 Official, Coming to India in March

HTC has finally announced the profusely leaked “Third generation of Iconic Design” HTC One M9 at MWC 2015 today. Rumor mill did excellently well and the unibody ergonomic metallic design, with a brushed metal rear and polished sidewalls in M9, looks exactly as expected.

HTC has given up on its ultrapixels stubbornness and provided a 20 MP detailed sensor at the back with scratch resistant sapphire glass on top. The Ultrapixel camera has shifted to the front where it can be used to capture sulfides, aided by a large wide angle lens on top. You can record 4k videos from the rear camera.

The display is 5 Inches in size and good thing is, that HTC has decided not to participate in mad PPI race and has chosen 1920 x 1080p full HD resolution for HTC One M9. There is Gorilla Glass 4 protection on top too. HTC has further improved Screen to body ratio for M9.

The HTC One M9 runs on 64 bit Snapdragon 810 chipset that includes four Cortex A57 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and another four Cortex A53 cores running at 1.5GHz. Chipset also includes 3 GB RAM, Adreno 430 GPU and 32 GB storage, which can be expanded by another 128 GB.

Software is HTC sense 7 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The HTC Sense 7 is smart and beautiful. It can generate themes on the fly centered around a picture you click, can recommend restaurants nearby, it can also reorganize your App drawer according to your location and do a lot more. The boom sound speakers are even better now with 5.1 Dolby surround sound.

Other features include 2840 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, infrared, microUSB 2.0 and NFC

HTC One M9 measures 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.6mm and sounds a bit hefty at 154 grams. It will be available  in India and north America starting from mid march 2015. India price will be revealed at the time of launch.
