OnePlus Power Banks Launched for $15, OxygenOS and Cyanogen OS 12S Update Dates Confirmed

OnePlus unveiled its portable power bank for smartphones in December last year and the same was released in the US market on Tuesday for a pricing of $15 (approx. Rs 950). The firm has also revealed on its official blog post that it is currently working to render smooth logistics and shipping experience to the users in India. We can expect the OnePlus Power Bank to launch in India in the next week and it is likely to go on sale exclusively via Amazon.

It has been claimed by the firm that they are ironing out issues with related to special shipping requirements for batteries. They are currently working on alternate methods to get the power banks shipped to the country in order to retain their USP of affordable devices.

In the meantime, there is official confirmation on the Cyanogen OS 12S and OxygenOS update dates for the OnePlus One smartphones. It has been claimed in the official forum that Cyanogen OS 12S OTA update will be rolled out on or before March 30 and the OxygenOS ROM will be rolled out for download on or before March 27.

Notably, both the platforms are Android Lollipop based updates and they will provide new features. The Cyanogen OS 12S will bring a new boot animation to the OnePlus One. On the other hand, the OxygenOS was launched without any bloatware and it is streamlined to render a great performance. It is claimed that the platform will provide faster updates and better localization.


As there was a delay in the rollout of the Cyanogen OS 12S platform due to technical issues, OnePlus has claimed that if it happens to miss the deadline, it will offer five 64 GB OnePlus One smartphones to its fans for free.
