Further extending its Aqua series portfolio, Domestic player Intex Mobiles is now offering a 5 Inch HD display for just 6, 590 INR, in Aqua Star II HD – the new Intex phone running Android KitKat.
All those added pixels will be handled by 1.2 GHz quad core Spreadtrum SC7731 processor, with 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, which again sounds decent for the price. 32 GB MicroSD support is also an option.
Other features of the dual SIM device include an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, 5 MP front shooter, Bluetooth 4.0, 3G, GPS and a moderate 2000 mAh battery. The handset is also quite light, weighing just 125 grams and flaunts a brushed metal texture on gold and white color variants. Preloaded apps include opera mini, OLX, Intex service, clean master, Ask me, Myntra, Newshunt and more.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, Mobile Business Head, Intex Technologies said, “Through this new launch we aim to define our purpose of unleashing an economically attractive and technologically luring smartphone in the market. Our latest offering in the Aqua Star II HD– is available at an amazing price point. We are delighted to offer such an outstanding product and hope to continue this in the coming future.”
Intex Mobiles has a reputation for rapidly churning out smartphones with permutation and combinations of some standard specs, a feature that stands out – all priced in affordable range – prepped for offline markets in tier 2 cities.
Contrary to online banters, the strategy must be working well for the company as the counterpoint research in last quarter put Intex at number three spot. Intex Aqua Star II HD sounds like a decent proposition for those strictly sticking to offline markets and will be available for just 6,690 INR in white, black and gold color options.
