So far, we know that the new YU smartphone will be running Android Lollipop based Cyanogen OS 12 ROM, will have an HD display, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, 4G LTE support and a 64 bit chipset. The handset is also expected to have a more rectangular design with metal around its edges.

YU has started pushing teasers on the official YouTube channel to fuel pre-launch buzz and the first two teasers hind towards a strong durable device with powerful audio speaker drivers.

In the first teaser video showcases an amusing drop test, where Yuphoria cracks the tiled floor. This suggests strong metal frame and Gorilla Glass 3 protection layered on top.

The next teaser demonstrates, what looks like a stereo speaker, which is powerful enough to blow hairs off your face. These Extravagant teasers will continue as we approach the launch date.

Rumors suggest that the 64 bit chipset used is Snapdragon 410, which would mean Yuphoria will be more of Redmi 2 and Lenovo A6000 Plus challenger. The other way YU could opt for is improving over Yureka and challenging Xiaomi Mi 4i and Asus Zenfone 2 in 10,000 to 15,000 INR price range, but that doesn’t seem very likely as of now.

YU is marketing Yuphoria as a perfect phone. This assures us that generic features like MicroSD card slot, USB OTG, etc will be all there besides a glittering spec sheet.
