Yu entered the realms of fitness tracker yesterday with the launch of YuFit smartband and HealthYu cassette in India for 9,99 INR and 4,999 INR respectively. While YuFit band is a conventional fitness tracker or “Life Companion” as Yu would put it, HealthYu measures your body vitals like ECG, Skin temperature, Blood oxygen level and respiration rate.
The reason Yu emphasized on YuFit being more than a fitness band is, because the smart wearable comes with coach privilege. Your data collected by the band, will be monitored by expert professional trainers who can then add a personal touch, motivate you and guide you for improvement.
The first 1000 users will get this personal attention for free, but what will it cost for others? Rahul Sharma, Co-founder of Yu Televentures, revealed to GadgetsToUse, that 3 month subscription for YuFit will cost around 300 INR only.
This is very attractive proposition for these services. GoQii fitness tracker, which originally integrated expert fitness coaches, might have to reconsider its pricing if YU manages to settle subscription charges as anticipated.

YuFit band can also track steps, track sleep, distance walked and calories burnt. On the OLED display, the band also shows time, incoming call and message alerts. A find my phone feature is also present. The band pairs with YuFit app which allows you to log food, water and other data. Battery backup and accuracy of the fitness tracker remains to be seen and judged.
