Microsoft has today launched another affordable Lumia smartphone, the Lumia 540 in India priced at 10,199 INR. You can pre-book a unit from today, and availability starts from 18th May, 2015.
Microsoft Lumia 540 sports a 5 inch IPS LCD display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution. The display also includes Nokia’s clear black technology for reduced scattering and reflection of light.
Like most other recent Microsoft smartphones, Lumia 540 is windows 10 ready. For now, the handset is running Windows 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim update changes pre-installed. The handset is powered by Snapdragon 200 quad core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz and aided with Adreno 302 GPU and 1 GB RAM.
Native storage is 8 GB and this can be further expanded by another 128 GB using MicroSD card slot. For photography, there is a basic 8 MP sensor with 1/ 4 inch sensor and a 5 MP selfie shooter, both of which can record 480p videos.
The 2200 mAh battery inside can deliver up tp 15 hours of 3G talk time. Other features include 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and GLONASS. Lumia 540 measures 144 x 73.7 x 9.4 mm and weighs 154 grams.
