Unlike most other recent Chinese entrants, who can be labeled as recent arrivals, Zopo has been trying to enter Indian smartphone market for way too long. Zopo ZP980 and Zopo 990 were some of the phones from Zopo which managed to grab everyone’s attention, way back in 2013, but with inadequate infrastructure and retail chains, Zopo soon faded into oblivion.
Now that the ‘Chinese trend’ and online retailing have caught up, Zopo makes a fresh attempt with Zopo Speed 7 (don’t worry, display size isn’t 7 Inches), a phone which offers MT6753 octa core chipset and 3GB RAM for just 12,999 INR.
This 5 Inch Full HD display smartphone has 16GB internal storage, expandable by up to 64GB using MicroSD card slot. For photography, there is a 13.2MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, 5P lens, and a 5MP front camera. Other features include 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 2500mAh battery.
Software is Android 5.1 Lollipop based custom OS, with features like off-screen gestures and double tap top wake baked in. Zopo Speed 7 measures 146.1×70.6 x8.65mm and weighs a modest 150 grams. This dual SIM phone indeed has towering specs, and if that alone should suffice for you, you can straight away go ahead and buy it exclusively from Snapdeal, starting from first week of September.
