Leaked: Coolpad To Launch Affordable Handset With FingerPrint Sensor In India

Chinese manufacturer Coolpad will soon roll out its first device in India. This device name is still not confirmed by Coolpad, according to the leaks something which made our eyeballs rolling is that it will feature a fingerprint sensor on the back. Coolpad is a Chinese smartphone manufacturer that supplies phones around the globe. The company is gearing to launch its latest Coolpad smartphone in India. This device is projected to cost somewhere around INR 10,000 when it hits the Indian shores.

The speculated specs show that the Coolpad device will be featuring a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720p) IPS LCD display and packs 16GB of internal storage expandable up to 64 GB via micro SD. The device is expected to have MT6753 Octa-core 1.3GHz with 3 GB RAM for processing. It features a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera. The smartphone supports 4G and 3G on both sim card slots.

CoolPad has big claims about the its upcoming model expected to feature a fingerprint sensor around INR 10,000. Using the Fingerprint sensor, you can unlock this reasonably priced phone in less than 0.5 seconds, thats what the leaks say. If we believe what we see, this phone is going to be the cheapest phone offering a fingerprint security lock.

According to the leaks this device will run on Android 4.4 OS and feature a juicy 3000mAh battery. The leak listed the quite a lot of sensors on this device, they are Gravity sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, magnetic sensor, compass, gyroscope. Seems like there is a whole lot to with the new Coolpad device.


The leaked details of this device look promising on paper, we believe the device to perform well in the Indian market. Till then we have to wait for Coolpad to announce the full specifications of this device. At this point, there is not much to discuss about this handset but it surely has a lot in the bag and offers something unusual for at this price range.
