Lenovo owned Motorola came up with the Motorola Droid Turbo 2 earlier in US. The idea behind making this smartphone was to eliminate the risk of broken displays and damaged body. The much awaited phone with the “unbreakable display”, named the the Moto X Force for international markets has finally arrived in India. But before we put our hammers to work, check out our hands-on experience with this handset.

Moto X Force Physical Overview
As far as the design is concerned, the Moto X Force follows the footsteps of its Motorola family. It shares almost the same design language already seen in the Moto phones available in market. It does not have premium attributes, it looks very plain and simle in terms of design. It has curved metal edges which hold the body very strongly. The back has a textured finish with curved sides which make the grip and hold on this phone perfect. The front bezels are on the broader side, which is obviously expected from a phone with such sold display. There is no question about the sturdyness of this handset and it beautifully manages to keep the weight under 170 grams for ease of use.
The front top has the speaker grill, front camera, front LED flash and proximity and ambient light sensors. The bottom has the single speaker with twin grills on each side.
On the right side, there is apower button and the volume rocker below it.
On the top, you will find a 3.5 mm jack coupled with the SIM tray, and the microUSB port is at the bottom.
On the back you will find a circular camera unit holding the 21 MP lens and dual LED flash in the center. In the middle there is the Motorola logo, which is common in almost every high end Motorola phone.
Moto X Force User Interface
Moto X Force runs on the latest version of Android Lollipop. As always, Motorola sticks to the authentic Android interface with almost no tweaks on top. There are a few extra gestures like twist to launch camera and karate chop to turn on flash, but the rest of the feel remains just like the stock Android.
Moto X Force Camera Overview
Motorola has sustained its photographic regeneration which we saw in the Moto X Style, with a similar 21 MP rear. This is capable of taking snappy, sharp pictures in different light levels – though we’re still not too fond on Motorola’s custom tap-to-shoot camera UI.
We’ll reserve our verdict on the camera until we do an in-depth camera review with the device.
Price and Availability
It is priced at INR 49,999 for the 32GB variant, and INR 53,999 for the 64GB variant. It will be available on purchase from February 8 via Amazon India, Flipkart, and physical retail stores. It will also be available on offline retailers including Croma and Spice, the colour variants will be Black, Grey, and White.
Comparison And Competition
Moto X Force is one of its kind smartphone currently available in India, but looking at the price and hardware it will compete with the likes of Nexus 6P, Samsung Note 5 and more phones which are priced around 40k-50k.
Conclusion
If you are looking for a phone that is tough and powerful, yet looks like an ordinary smartphone, the Moto X Force is a convincing new option. It has a great battery life, sharp QHD display and good quality camera and yet it can survive forceful bumps and drops. At the price of INR 49,999, it looks a little overpriced but that is expected when you are one of a kind in the crowd.
