Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus Physical Overview
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is a decent looking phone, and it sports an aluminum back which feels solid with fairly small bezels around the edges of the display. The best thing about the smartphone is its weight, which is just 142 grams and the thickness is 8.2 mm. It is not the thinnest and lightest but it still has a fine design to look costlier than what it actually costs. It has curved back and rounded edges, which feel great to hold. Overall built feels solid and offers good grip.

Capacitive navigation keys are marked at the chin with silver colour.
On the rear, you will find the camera module at the top left corner of the screen and the LED flash on its right.
You will find the Lenovo branding in the middle and the dual speaker grills are at the bottom of the back cover.
Volume rocker and power/lock keys are placed on the right side of the phone.

Vibe K5 Plus User Interface
On the software front, the Vibe K5 Plus is running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, skinned with Lenovo’s own custom features on top. It has a revamped notification shade, no app drawer and there are also a number of pre-installed apps like SHAREit, SNAPit, and Guvera Music. The transitions and custom animations were smooth during the hands on experience; we will be testing the device more to know more about the user interface on this phone.
Vibe K5 Plus Camera Overview
For photography, the Vibe K5 Plus features a rear-facing 13 MP camera with auto focus and an LED flash. The rear camera is considerably good for outdoor and natural light images but like any other budget device, the camera underperforms in low light scenarios. Details and colours look good in day light but do not capture natural colours in artificial light.
The front facing camera is a little disappointing, it comes with 5 MP fixed focus camera. In natural light, you can get a decent selfie but in artificial lights the pictures lacked details. You may not get the picture perfect selfies from the smartphone, but it’s still good for Skype or other video calling apps.
Price, Availability and Competition
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is priced at INR 8,499 and it will be available via open sale exclusively on Flipkart from March 23. Vibe K5 Plus will compete with the phones like LeEco Le 1s, Coolpad Note 3, Lenovo Vibe K4 Note, Honor Holly 2 Plus, Canvas 5 and some other phones under 10K price category.
Conclusion
The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is fairly impressive for the price of INR 8,499; featuring an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor coupled 2 GB of RAM, full HD display, 13 MP camera and Dolby audio. We’ll give a more thorough verdict once we receive a review unit.
