Micromax Canvas 5 Lite Launched at Rs. 6,499

Micromax has launched its latest addition to the Canvas series, dubbed as the Canvas 5 Lite for Rs. 6,499. The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite is the successor to the Canvas 5 that was launched last year. The device is being sold exclusively by Snapdeal. The device comes with a leather cover finish on the back. It is available in slate grey and brown color options.

The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The device features a 5 inch HD IPS LCD display with resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device comes with a pixel density of ~294 PPI.

The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor coupled with 2 GB RAM. The device comes with 16 GB of internal storage. The device does not support microSD expansion.

Coming to the camera department, the Canvas 5 Lite features an 8 MP primary camera with LED flash. On the front, the device sports a 5 MP secondary camera for selfies.

The device is powered by a 2,000 mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G with VoLTE support, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0. The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite supports dual SIM of the Micro SIM type.

The Micromax Canvas 5 Lite is available at a price of Rs. 6,499. The phone comes in two colours – slate grey and brown. Snapdeal is the exclusive online sales partner. The phone is currently being sold at an extra 5% off if purchases are made through a Debit or Credit card.
