Fossil Enters Smart Wearable Market With A Series Of Watches

Fossil Group known for its fashion accessories like watches, back packs, wallets etc., has entered the wearable device market in India. Today, the group announced its entry by unveiling a range of devices from its own and licensed brands like Fossil Q, Michael Kors Connected, Skagen Connected, Chaps, Emporio Armani and Misfit.

Emphasising the importance of smartwatches in wearable devices Jack Quinlan, Senior Vice-President, APAC, Fossil Group stated that smartwatches constitute upto 40% of the wearable device industry. And by entering into this area, Fossil looks to capture significant market share in upcoming quarters.

The various products launched by Fossil Group today are,

Fossil Q Watchesfossil-q

Fossil has launched Q Wander and Q Marshal under Fossil Q series. It comes with touchscreen display, sleek and slim steel case and interchangeable leather straps.

Both the watches feature Always on Display which allows user to look at time, calls or alerts. One can also respond to messages by tapping on screen or by voice commands. This collection is priced between Rs 21,995 to Rs 22,595.


Michael Kors Accessmichael-kors-access

Under Michael Kors brand name, Fossil has launched fashion focussed and luxurious time pieces. They come with features like super connectivity, activity tracking, voice activation, customizable display faces, and wireless charging. They come at a price of Rs 25,995 to Rs 29,495.

Skagen Connectedskagen connected

Under the brand name of Skagen, Fossil has launched Skage Connected. It is a series of attractive and intuitive smartwatch. It comes with simple design embedded with modern innovations. The initial collection will include the Hagen Connected hybrid smartwatches and a Skagen Connected activity tracker. The collection is priced between Rs 14,295 to Rs 15,495.

Under this series we get traditional looking watches but with all the functionality of a world class tracker with notifications. The styling will be all American and is priced at Rs 9,995 to Rs 10,495.

Emporio ArmaniEmporio-Armani

Synonymous to its Italian mother company, Emporio Armani is a collection of stylish smartwatch. These are available in four metal finishes of rose gold, black, gunmetal and stainless steel. They also come with an option for three link bracelet or a leather strap. They are priced at Rs 17,495 to Rs 27,995.

Misfitmisfit

Under this brand, Fossil has launched 2 devices namely Misfit Shine 2 and Misfit Ray. They are basically fitness trackers but style added to it. They feature a modular design and promote a fit and active lifestyle. They are available from Rs 7,495 onwards.
