Lenovo Phab 2 Pro Launched In India For Rs. 29,990

Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is the first commercially sold Tango phone. This phone garnered attention due to its augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) abilities. Tango enables motion tracking, depth perception, and area learning. It uses these measurements to recognize places, recreate them and add virtual objects to it.

There are nearly 40 TANGO apps on the Google play store, which can harness these features to provide unique experience. If you have loved Pokemon GO on your phone, this phone can take the game to the next level.  Bearing AR and VR, it comes with decent hardware coupled with near stock Android version based on Marshmallow.

The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro comes with a unibody metal slab with large 6.4 inch Quad HD (2,560 x 1,440 pixel) IPS LCD display with a pixel density of ~459 PPI.  It is powered by a tango-friendly octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor (4 x 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72) along with Adreno 510 GPU. It comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 256 GB using a microSD card.

In the camera department, the Lenovo Phab 2 Pro houses as many as four cameras. There is an 8 MP camera on the front with f/2.2 aperture. On the back, there is a 16 MP primary camera with phase detection autofocus, a depth sensing infrared camera as well as a motion tracking camera.


The Lenovo Phab 2 Pro is powered by a 4,050 mAh battery and comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS, microUSB v2.0 and FM Radio.

Pricing and Availability

This Lenovo Phab 2 Pro went on sale in mid October 2016 in the United States; however, it took three months to hit the Indian shores. The phone will be exclusively sold on Flipkart starting tonight at 11:59PM for a price of Rs. 29,990. Interestingly, Flipkart have withdrawn the banner at the time of writing this article.
