[MWC 2017] Coolpad Cool S1 Changer With Snapdragon 821 Coming Soon To India

Coolpad Cool S1 has been launched outside China finally, the company revealed at MWC 2017. The latest flagship smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display and the powerful Snapdragon 821 processor. It was launched in China back in December, but the company has finally launched it outside China. The Cool S1 Changer is also going to be launched in India soon.

Starting with the display, the Cool S1 Changer comes with a 5.5 inch full HD IPS LCD display, giving you a pixel density of 401 PPI. The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with LeEco‘s EUI 5.8 on top.

Powering the Coolpad Cool S1 Changer is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and Adreno 530 GPU. The phone comes in three configurations – 4GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM with 64GB storage and 6GB RAM with 128GB storage. The internal storage can be expanded using a microSD card.

In terms of imaging, the Cool S1 Changer comes with a 16 MP rear camera. It is assisted by Phase Detection Autofocus and a dual LED flash. The rear camera supports 4K video recording. On the front, you get an 8 MP camera for selfies and video calling.

Other features of the phone include a rear mounted fingerprint sensor and high quality Harman Kardon Clari-fi audio support. It does not come with a 3.5mm audio jack – you will instead have to use USB Type C headphones with the Cool S1 Changer.

Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone comes with Quick Charging support and is powered by a 4070 mAh battery.

Pricing and Availability

As for the pricing of the Coolpad Cool S1 Changer, the company revealed that the 6GB + 64GB version will cost 369 Euros, which translates to roughly Rs. 26,000 or about $390. The 6GB + 128GB version has been priced at 469 Euros, which is roughly Rs. 33,150 or $500.
