Design-wise, the Mi 6 is indeed an eye candy. Its innovative 3D glass back combined with the 2.5D screen creates magic. Xiaomi’s brand new flagship is also splash resistant and immune to occasional or accidental contact with water. Unfortunately, the phone misses out the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Talking about the internal specifications, the Xiaomi Mi 6 comes with the mighty Snapdragon 835 chipset. The 64-bit octa-core SoC is manufactured with the futuristic 10 nm process. The processor consists of eight custom-made Kyro 280 cores with a peak operating frequency of 2.45 GHz. The powerful Adreno 540 GPU handles the graphics performance. 6 GB LPDDR4x RAM is standard in every version of the Mi 6. It is mated with either 64 GB or 128 GB of onboard storage.

Moving on to the optics, there is a dual 12 MP rear camera with 2X optical zoom and 10X digital zoom. The dual lens module features an iPhone 7 Plus-like setup with one primary lens and another telephoto lens. 4-axis OIS (Optical Image Stabilisation) is present too.

Coming to the connectivity options, the Mi 6 rocks a 2×2 dual Wi-Fi, 4G LTE (VoLTE), GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, etc. A 3350mAh battery juices up the phone. Software-wise, the handset runs Android Nougat underneath Xiaomi’s very own MIUI. One more notable feature of the Mi 6 is its stereo loudspeakers which somewhat compensates for the loss of 3.5 mm audio jack.
