Xiaomi May Launch The Redmi 4 In India This Month

Xiaomi is on a spree to improve its budget lineup in the Indian market. After launching Redmi 4A in March, Xiaomi is now gearing up for its next launch. Yes, Xiaomi has released an official teaser of the phone but, has not cleared about the exact smartphone. It might be either Xiaomi Redmi 4 or Redmi 4 Prime. But, it is confirmed that the company is going to launch a new phone, which was confirmed by a tweet by Redmi India.

According to the tweet made by the company, there is no information about the device name or the timeline for the phone launch. But, it has shared an image which highlights the night skyline in the background and has the tagline, ”Power in your hands”.

Furthermore, Manu Jain, Xiaomi’s India VP also tweeted that the upcoming phone will be the next big launch this month. This indicates that the Redmi 4 and Redmi 4 Prime could be announced in this month only. The first launch was the Mi Home store launch in Bengaluru and the next big announcement is the upcoming phone.

In March, Xiaomi confirmed that it will be launching the successor of Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s Prime in India. The successors were already launched in China in November last year and now it is time that the company brings these smartphones to the Indian market. This announcement will help the company in fulfilling the growing demand of Xiaomi’s devices in India.


The Xiaomi Redmi 4 is expected be priced around Rs. 6,900 and Redmi 4 Prime may be priced around Rs. 8,900. Let’s see how the upcoming phones will improve the demand for Xiaomi’s smartphone in the market.
