HTC U Play Gets Rs. 10,000 Price Cut, Now Costs Rs. 29,000

HTC introduced U Ultra and U Play back in February in India. Both these phones are based on the company’s latest design philosophy and advanced technology. HTC U Ultra was priced at Rs 59,990 while the U Play was offered at a price tag of Rs 39,990. But, in almost three months, the company has reduced the price of HTC U Play by Rs 10,000 and now, it is priced at Rs 29,000. HTC has not only reduced the price of the U Play but, has also made it exclusively available on Amazon India.

Currently, the HTC U Play is available on Amazon in Sapphire Blue and Brilliant Black color options with zero cost EMI offer for a limited period. In addition to this, Amazon is also offering a cashback of almost Rs 2,300 on purchasing under credit card EMI and one-year insurance coverage for accidental and liquid damages by Cover Plus for free.

The Taiwanese manufacturer introduced the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage HTC U Play variant. It also features a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080 X 1920 pixels) Super LCD display with Gorilla Glass and powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio P1- SoC.

The camera duties include 16-megapixel at the back with a BSI sensor, optical image stabilization, PDAF, a f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. While at the front, the phone features a 16-megapixel sensor with an UltraPixel mode, a BSI sensor, a f/2.0 aperture with a 28mm focal length. The smartphone has an inbuilt storage of 64GB which can be further expanded up to 2TB via microSD.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE with VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, DLNA, Miracast, HTC Connect, and USB 2.0 Type-C. The list of sensors includes an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and gyroscope. The overall dimensions of the phone measure 145.99 mm X 72.9 mm X 7.99 mm and weighs 145 grams.

The fingerprint sensor is embedded on the Home Button. The phone is fueled by a 2500 mAh battery with fast charging support (5V/2A) that is capable of delivering 15.21 hours of talk time and up to 427.54 hours of standby time.
