Nokia 9 Spotted With Snapdragon 835, 8GB RAM

Nokia 9 has shown up in a fresh benchmark listing. This time, the upcoming flagship is seen with a whopping 8GB of RAM. The smartphone runs on Snapdragon 835 chipset with Android 7.1.1 Nougat as the operating system. HMD Global is expected to unveil the Nokia 9 in the coming months.

This is not the first time that the Nokia 9 has been listed in Geekbench. Just a few days ago, we saw the 4 GB model of it. Surprisingly, the newer 8 GB version scores much lower than the 4 GB one. The lower RAM variant had scored 1815 in the single-core test and 6278 in the multi-core one. However, with 8 GB RAM, the score drops to 769 and 1630 respectively. Upon thorough inspection, we found out that the Nokia 9 with 8 GB RAM has been tested on an earlier version of Geekbench which is probably the reason for it.

Nokia 9 Specifications

Coming to specifications, the Nokia 9 is expected to compete with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+, OnePlus 5, Xiaomi Mi 6, etc. In the benchmark listing we can clearly see the Processor ID as ARM implementer 81 architecture 8 variant 10 part 2048 revision 1″, which is nothing but the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC.

Memory-wise, it seems that the upcoming flagship from HMD Global is going to have multiple variants. On the basis of RAM there will be at least two versions of Nokia 9. One with 4 GB RAM and another with 8 GB, while a 6 GB one is also possible. Coming to memory, the phone may sport anything between 32 GB to 128 GB. According to the benchmark listing, Android 7.1.1 Nougat is going to power up the device.

Speaking of the camera, the Nokia 9 will rock a dual lens setup with laser assisted autofocus. HMD Global is expected to launch the handset in the coming months. Unfortunately, we are yet to have any specific release date.
