Paytm Cheated Me 40000 INR, Ordered Camera Got 600 INR Speakers

Update: We would like to tell all of our readers, that this issue has been sorted for now, as Paytm has issued a refund. They have informed us that its the courier fault. We have asked them to provide us the cause of this problem as an email response.

Paytm has just shipped F&D speakers’ worth under Rs. 700 in place of a Rs. 41,000 Canon camera. Our founder Mr. Abhishek Bhatnagar is the victim of this unbelievable fraud. Previously, there have been several instances of this kind if scams. But this is the first time we are facing it ourselves.

On 30th May 2017, Mr. Abhishek Bhatnagar placed an order for the ‘Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II Advanced Point & Shoot Camera’. He paid Rs. 40995 for the same including the shipping charges. Today, he got the delivery of the shipment. However, when he opened the package, SURPRISE! Instead of the high-end camera, he found F&D V520 Speakers worth Rs. 600 as the only thing lying inside. This is just insane.

Coming to the details, the order number is ‘3310682286’, and the seller name is Capital Photo Services Private Limited aka CAMARENA. The latter is located near Chadni Chowk in Kolkata, with the full address as ‘157/C Lenin Sarani, 4th Floor, Deluxe Centre, Kolkata – 700013’. Click here to go to the seller’s website.

The order was placed through Paytm by Mr. Abhishek Bhatnagar himself. It was shipped and delivered by Bluedart logistics.

Paytm Order Details

A complaint mail has already been sent to Paytm and we are awaiting their response. Moreover, we will also try visiting the seller’s address to get their response.

Quite naturally, this entire event has gravely disheartened Mr. Bhatnagar, who had been teasing about his upcoming camera to his fans through social media. Recently, he ordered a Mac from Paytm and was pleased to receive a genuine product. This increased his faith on the online portal. Thus, he chose Paytm to buy his much-needed camera gear.

This incident once again questions the reliability of online marketplaces. We also heard how an individual got a bar of soap instead of a smartphone and these things never seem to stop. It is still uncertain if the seller himself is involved in this kind of fraudulent practices or there is the hand of courier company or the warehouse personnel. However, in our case, we somewhat suspect Bluedart staffs of the forgery.

So, we recommend you to record a video every time while you open an expensive item purchased through any online shop. With this, you will at least have a proof to show that you have been cheated. Lastly, please share this as much as you can, so that your friends and family becomes aware of this frauds.
