Idea’s New Rs. 396 Plan Offers Free Calls, 1GB Daily Data For 84 Days

Idea Cellular has silently launched a fresh long-term plan to compete with Reliance Jio. Priced at Rs. 396, the new recharge pack offers Unlimited calls to any network and 1 GB of 4G internet per day for as long as 84 days. This is actually quite similar to Reliance Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer.

There is both a good thing, as well as a bad thing about the Rs. 396 plan from Idea. The good one is that it is applicable both for new and existing users. For new users, it costs Rs. 399. Coming to the bad thing, the new offer is only valid for 4G handsets. This is really unacceptable since unlike Reliance Jio, Idea is not a 4G-only service provider.

If you do not own a 4G handset, recharging Rs. 396 will get you merely 2 GB of data and unlimited calling for just 28 days. This is far less what 4G smartphone owners are getting.

Idea users having a 4G-enabled handset can recharge Rs. 396 and get unlimited local + STD calling to any network across in India, 1 GB high-speed mobile data for 84 days. This is exactly what Reliance Jio’s Dhan Dhana Dhan Offer comes with. However, Idea’s plan does cost marginally less than the Rs. 408 demanded by Jio. You should not ignore the Prime membership though.

So, does the new Idea offer seem interesting to you? According to the source, the new plan is currently valid only in the Himachal Pradesh region. So we request you to visit your nearest Idea store local vendors before recharging.

Just a couple of days ago, Telecom Talk reported two exclusive Idea plans for new customers in Himachal Pradesh. One of them cost Rs. 297 and offers unlimited Idea to Idea calling and 1 GB daily data for 70 days. The other one is priced at Rs. 445 and comes with unlimited calls to any network and 1 GB internet per day for 84 days. Both the offers are exclusively valid for 4G handsets.
