Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro and Galaxy J7 Max were launched in India today. The latest mid-range smartphones from Samsung offer full HD displays and are powered by octa-core processors. Samsung had earlier launched the Galaxy J5 and J7 (2017), hitting different price points in its portfolio. The new Galaxy J7 Pro and J7 Max feature Samsung Pay support for mobile payments.

 

Samsung Galaxy J7 Pro Specifications

The Galaxy J7 Pro is the slightly higher end version among the two phones. It comes with a 5.5 inch full HD Super AMOLED display, with an always-on feature to display notifications and time. At 5.5 inches and full HD resolution, you get a pixel density of ~401 PPI. The display is covered with a 2.5D curved glass.

The phone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with the latest version of TouchWiz UI on top.

Powering the J7 Pro is an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor with Mali T830 GPU. It comes with 3GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, with support for expansion up to 256GB using a microSD card.

In terms of imaging, the J7 Pro comes with a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash. On the front too you get the same 13MP camera and an LED flash.

Other features include a fingerprint sensor, dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and FM Radio. The phone is powered by a 3600 mAh battery.

The Galaxy J7 Max is the slightly higher end version among the two phones. It comes with a 5.5 inch full HD TFT IPS LCD display. At 5.5 inches and full HD resolution, you get a pixel density of ~401 PPI. The display is covered with a 2.5D curved glass.

The phone runs on Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box with the latest version of TouchWiz UI on top.

Powering the J7 Max is an octa-core Mediatek Helio P20 MT6757V processor with Mali T880 GPU. It comes with 4GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, with support for expansion up to 256GB using a microSD card.

In terms of imaging, the J7 Pro comes with a 13MP rear camera with an LED flash. On the front too you get the same 13MP camera and an LED flash.

Other features include a fingerprint sensor, dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and FM Radio. The phone is powered by a 3300 mAh battery.

Pricing and Availability

Samsung has priced the Galaxy J7 Pro at Rs. 20,900. It will come in Black and Gold colour options. The phone will be available for purchase in mid-July.

The Galaxy J7 Max has been priced at Rs. 17,900 and it will be available for purchase starting June 20th. It will also come in Black and Gold colour options.
