Coolpad, the Chinese smartphone maker, launched the Cool Play 6 today in India. Unveiled at an event held in Dubai, Coolpad announced its latest offering in the budget segment. The phone’s highlight is the dual camera setup, with two 13MP sensors on the back. The phone also comes with a powerful octa-core Snapdragon 653 chipset and a big 4,000mAh battery.
Coolpad has priced the Cool Play 6 at Rs. 14,999, taking on other popular smartphones in this price range. To distinguish itself, Coolpad has used a dual camera setup, premium design and a powerful processor.
Coolpad Cool Play 6 Specifications
Starting with the display, the Coolpad Cool Play 6 comes with a 5.5-inch IPS-LCD display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. Below the screen, you get 3 capacitive buttons for navigation. The phone runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Coolpad’s custom skin Journey UI on top.
Packing a punch in the hardware department, the Cool Play 6 is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor. It is coupled with 6GB RAM and 64GB Internal memory.
Coming to cameras, the Cool Play 6 features a dual 13MP + 13MP camera setup with an f/2.0 aperture and Phase Detection Autofocus. The phone also comes with a dual LED flash for assistance in low light conditions.
On the front, the phone comes with an 8MP camera for selfies and video calling.
The phone is powered by a 4,000 mAh non-removable battery. It is a dual SIM 4G VoLTE smartphone with a 3.5mm earphone jack on top and a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Other connectivity options include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The Coolpad Cool Play 6 is a feature-packed smartphone. It is priced at Rs. 14,999 and will be available as an Amazon exclusive, with the open sale starting on September 4.
