Nuu Mobile Introduces X5, M3, Q626 And Q500 Smartphones In India

Nuu Mobile, a US and Hong Kong based company has marked its entry into the Indian smartphone market. The company which is known for affordable unlocked Android phones officially launched four smartphones at an event in New Delhi today. The phones are X5, M3, Q626, and Q500 and they are 4G VoLTE enabled smartphones starting from Rs. 9,999.

Before India, Nuu Mobile had its presence in Americas, Britain, Indonesia, and some other Asian countries. The first batch of its smartphones in India will exclusively be available through offline channels from September 2017.

Nuu X5 Specifications

Nuu X5 is the premium offering in the mid-range segment from the company. The smartphone comes with a zinc-aluminum alloy casing and sports a 5.5 inch full HD (1080×1920) IPS display.

It runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and is powered by an octa core MediaTek MT6750T SoC clocked at 1.5GHz. It is coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.


For the imaging, the Nuu X5 features a 13 MP primary camera on the back with an LED flash, autofocus, panorama, burst mode and live photo. At the front,a 5 MP wide-angle lens and autofocus is present for better group selfies.

The dual SIM smartphone houses a 2,950mAh battery. Connectivity options it includes are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, FM, GPS, among others.

The device features and bears a fingerprint sensor on the back and comes with smart controls with company’s SmartWake technology and air gestures.

Nuu M3 with a metal body smooth finish features a 5.5 inch HD ( 1280 x 720 pixels ) IPS display with smart gesture features similar to the X5. The dual-SIM smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat.

The handset is powered by a quad core MediaTek MTK6737 SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz. The phone comes packed with 2GB RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

On the camera front, the Nuu M3 sports an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash, autofocus, live photo, and burst mode. At the front, it sports a 5 MP camera with autofocus.

The handset houses a 3,200mAh battery. It includes connectivity options such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, FM, and GPS, among others. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back.

The Q626 featuring a glass front and back sports a premium look but at a budget price. It features a 5-inch HD ( 1280 x 720 pixels ) display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage.

On the camera front, the Q626 comes with an 8 MP rear camera with flash, autofocus, live photo and much more. The front features a 5 MP camera with autofocus.

There is also fingerprint scanner on the back of the smartphone. Connectivity options on Q626 include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, Micro-USB 2.0, FM, and GPS.

The Q500 is the cheapest among the four. It features a metal body and comes in Matte Black and Silver colors. The handset sports a 5 inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display.

Like the others, Nuu Q500 is also powered by a MediaTek processor. It packs 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via a microSD card.

On the camera front, it is much like the M3 and Q626. The Q500 also features an 8MP rear camera with and a 5 MP front facing camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0, FM, GPS, among others.

Pricing and Availability

The 4G VoLTE-enabled X5, M3 Q500, and Q626 range between Rs. 9,999 to Rs. 15,999. The Q500 is the cheapest among the four and it is priced at Rs. 9,999. The Q626 is a little bit upgraded and priced at Rs. 12,999. The M3 is priced at Rs. 12,499. X5, being the flagship is priced at Rs. 15,999. The smartphones will be available through offline channels and will go on sale starting in September.
