OnePlus updates OxygenOS Open beta for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

OnePlus is now rolling out OxygenOS open betas for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T for overall optimizations and treating BlueBorne Vulnerability. This version is Beta 24 for the OnePlus 3 and Beta 15 for OnePlus 3T.

The update is 84MB in size and includes screen calibration, new boot animation, and optimized recent apps clearing. Other minor fixes include an updated community app along with minor bug fixes. BlueBorne Vulnerability is the biggest issue addressed in this update from OnePlus.

The recent update is not for all the users but for those who are running  Open Beta ROMs. The OnePlus 3 (Open Beta 24) and OnePlus 3T (Open Beta 15) have received this update. If you are not running OxygenOS Open Beta ROM, you can learn about it here.

Once you’ve switched to Open Beta, you will receive these updates on your OnePlus 3, 3T. If you’re already running Open Beta, you’ll get this update OTA. The OxygenOS Open Beta update for OnePlus 3 and 3T has added Soft Screen Calibration, New Boot Animation, and optimized clearing of recent apps.

BlueBorne Vulnerability

The major update to OxygenOS with this Beta update is addressing of BlueBorne vulnerability. Identified by Armis labs, BlueBorne is a method through which hackers can get control of your devices using Bluetooth, exploiting all your precious data without you knowing about it.

In the update, OnePlus has also mentioned that the Vulnerability patch they’ve issued is independent of the Google Security patch, so some scanners may not recognize the BlueBorne Vulnerability on your OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.
