Nubia Z17 miniS launched with 6GB RAM, four cameras: Specs, price and more

ZTE’s sub brand Nubia today launched a new mid range device dubbed as Z17 miniS in China. It comes with dual camera setup at both front and the back. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 and is available starting at CNY 1,999.

The Nubia Z17 miniS runs on Android 7.1 Nougat with Nubia UI 5.0 skinned on top. It comes with a metal frame with 3D glass body. Along with the Z17 miniS, the Chinese smartphone maker also launched the Nubia Z17S.

Nubia Z17 miniS Specifications

The Nubia Z17 miniS features a 5.2 inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It comes with a pixel density of ~424 PPI.

The Nubia Z17 miniS is powered by an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor with Adreno 510 GPU, 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device does not support microSD expansion.

Coming to the camera department, the Nubia Z17 miniS features a dual camera setup at both the front and the back. At the back, the device comes with a 13MP Monochrome Sony IMX258 sensor and a 13MP RGB sensor with OIS and f/2.2 aperture.

On the front, the device sports a 16MP primary camera with an 80-degree wide-angle lens, f/2.2 aperture, along with a 5MP secondary with f/2.2 aperture.

The Nubia Z17 miniS is powered by a 3,200mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and a USB Type-C port.

Pricing and Availability

The Nubia Z17 miniS will be available in Black Gold and Deep Blue colors and is priced at CNY 1,999. The company has also announced a Aegean Blue colour that has been priced at CNY 2,099. The device will go on sale in China from October 19 and will be available for pre-order starting from today.
