Cupertino tech giant Apple has released a quick update for the iOS 11 on the iPhone X, addressing screen freezing issue. It was reported by several users that the display on their iPhone X became unresponsive to temperature drops and cold weather.
While Apple has issued a fix for this problem in the new iOS update version 11.1.2, we are yet to figure out how it solves the issue. The update not only addresses this issue but another one as well. The iOS version 11.1.2 brings a fix for distorted live photos and videos.
Apple iPhone X issues and fixes so far
So far, the Apple iPhone X has received some criticism for their Face ID and then the display freezing issue. While Face ID was claimed to be a better alternative to Touch ID, Apple has not provided any update to make it accurate. Rather, Apple has issued a Security Whitepaper, stating that Face ID may fail with identical twins or even children.
The second issue here was the display becoming unresponsive as temperature drops. In cold weather, the display on the iPhone X was reported to become unresponsive. Apple has been quick to act this time and issued the iOS update version 11.1.2 as a fix to this issue.
Apart from these reported issues, Apple has also addressed an issue of distorting live photos and videos. The fix comes with the same update addressing the display response issue.
