OnePlus 5 Android 8.0 Oreo Open Beta
After OnePlus posted about the update on their forum, it is now rolling out for open beta. With this update, OnePlus 5 users will get Google’s sweetest treat yet, Android Oreo. The features loaded in this update bring the OnePlus 5 at par with the Google Pixel 2 in terms of the Android version.
You will get Picture-in-Picture mode, that means you can use two apps with different screen proportion simultaneously. The company has also added Oreo’s Auto-fill and Smart text selection features. This means you can now quickly fill forms and get smart suggestions upon selecting a text.
The device will also upgrade to the October security update and get parallel apps feature. This will facilitate you to use two accounts of an app on the same phone. Your launcher also gets certain updates. The beta update brings Notification Dots to the launcher, which means every time you miss a notification, you will have a dot on the respective app. The app folder design is also refreshed.
