Chinese smartphone maker Honor today launched the Honor 7X in India at an event held in London. The device is the successor of the Honor 6X that was launched last year. Like its predecessor, the Honor 7X is a budget offering from Honor, taking on the likes of Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi Mi A1 and Moto G5S Plus.
The Honor 7X comes with a lot of improvements in the design department. It features a 5.93 inch display with a resolution of 18:9. The device comes with minimal bezels on the sides. The device now comes with a horizontal camera setup instead of the vertical camera setup that we saw on the Honor 6X.
Honor 7X Specifications
The Honor 7X runs on Android 7.0 Nougat with EMUI 5.1 skinned on top. The device features a 5.93 inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Apart from the trend of 18:9 display, the device also follows the trend of minimal bezels.
The Honor 7X is powered by an Octa core Kirin 659 processor clubbed with MaliT830-MP2 GPU, 4GB RAM and will come with 32GB / 64GB / 128GB of internal storage. The storage on the device can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
Coming to the camera department, it comes with a dual camera setup at the back. It comes with a 16MP primary camera along with a 2MP secondary camera. The camera also comes with Phase detection autofocus and an LED flash. On the front, the device sports an 8MP secondary camera. The front camera comes with gender based beauty modes.
The device is powered by a 3,340mAh battery. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0, GPS and FM Radio.
Honor 7X Pricing and Availability
The Honor 7X has been priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 32GB storage variant and Rs. 15,999 for the 64GB storage variant. The device will be available in India exclusively from Amazon India starting from today. It comes in Gold, Aurora Blue and Black color options.
