Samsung Galaxy S9+ Geekbench listing reveals specs, dual camera confirmed in case renders

Samsung has been working on its next year’s Galaxy S series flagships which are expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2018. As the Galaxy S9/S9+ launch is nearing, there have been several leaks and rumors regarding the smartphones. Now, the Galaxy S9+ has appeared on Geekbench along with another leak in which the cases for both the phones are rendered.

Samsung is planning to introduce the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ smartphones at the MWC 2018 in February as per reports. We have been hearing a lot of about their design and features and now the Galaxy S9+ has been spotted on a Geekbench listing that confirms the processor, RAM and some other features of the device. Additionally, renders from case maker Olixar has revealed the design of both the phones.

Samsung Galaxy S9+ on Geekbench

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ with the model number SM-G965U has been surfaced on Geekbench. The benchmark listing confirms that the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon 845 SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM and will run on Android 8.0 Oreo. The Geekbench listing shows 2422 points as single-core score and 8351 points in multi-core score.

Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ Case renders

Coming to the cases, the case listed for the Galaxy S9+ shows dual rear cameras on the back and Galaxy S9 case shows a single rear camera as rumored earlier. The case leaks also confirm the placement of fingerprint sensor.


As per the render, the fingerprint sensor will be placed below the camera module, making it easier to access. However, the heart rate sensor is still next to the camera based on the case render, even though earlier reports claimed that it would be placed between the camera and the fingerprint sensor.

Samsung Galaxy S9, S9+ Specifications

If we talk about rest of the specs, according to earlier rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will feature identical design to their predecessors. The Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are expected to come with Super AMOLED displays in 5.8 inch and 6.2 inch sizes respectively.

The devices are expected to be powered by Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810 SoC depending on the country. The Galaxy S9 is expected to come with 4GB RAM while the Galaxy S9+ will come with 6GB RAM. They will pack at least 64GB of internal storage with microSD slot and come with 3.5mm headphone jack and AKG stereo speakers.
