Airtel has revised its Rs. 399 prepaid pack to take on Jio’s Rs. 398 pack. With the new Rs. 399 pack, Airtel is now offering 1GB data per day, unlimited voice calls – local, STD, and roaming, 100 SMSs per day for all handset users. The new validity of the Rs. 399 pack is 70 days.
Previously, Airtel offered 1GB 3G/ 4G data per day along with the other benefits for a validity of 28 days. The Rs. 399 pack has now taken the place of the Rs. 448 pack that offered same benefits with 70 days validity. The Rs. 448 pack now offers a validity of 82 days. Airtel also offers a Rs. 509 plan that was recently revised to offer 91 days validity with the same benefits.
What is Jio offering?
In comparison to Airtel, Reliance Jio with its Rs. 398 pack offers 1.5GB high-speed 4G data per day (after 1.5GB Jio offers unlimited data at 64Kbps). Further, Jio also offers unlimited voice calls on all networks in India, 100 SMSs daily, and free subscription to Jio apps. The validity of Jio’s Rs. 398 pack is also 70 days.
Airtel’s other offers
Earlier, Airtel has launched other competitive offers to take on Jio’s plans. Airtel announced a Rs. 199 prepaid pack to compete with Jio’s Rs. 199 pack. Both the packs offer unlimited calls, 100 SMSs per day for 28 days. However, Jio’s Rs. 199 pack provides 1.2GB 4G data per day while the Airtel’s pack gives only 1GB data per day.
Moreover, Airtel also released a Rs. 93 pack that offers unlimited voice calls to all networks, 100 SMSs per day, and a total of 1GB data with a validity of 10 days. This pack takes on Jio’s Rs. 98 pack that has same data benefits, but comes with a limit of 140 SMSs and an extended validity of 14 days.
