OnePlus confirms that the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T will get face unlock

OnePlus has confirmed that the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T will soon get the Face Unlock Feature. OnePlus 5T was the first smartphone from the company which came with the Face Unlock feature. Recently, OnePlus added the face unlock feature to OnePlus 5 as well in the open beta. Beta users are currently testing this feature and it will soon roll out to the regular users once the testing completes.

A lot of OnePlus 5 users had demanded this feature for their smartphone as an update and one week later OnePlus released the new feature to OnePlus 5 users via an open beta update. While referring to the Face Unlock feature coming to the OnePlus 3 and 3T, Carl Pei said that “there’s no reason to withhold features we can easily implement.”

OnePlus’ co-founder, Carl Pei has confirmed in an interview with CNET that the OnePlus 3 and 3T users will also be getting the Face Unlock feature. This new feature will roll out with an Oxygen OS beta build soon and all the users who have already enrolled in the beta program will be able to test this feature before it is officially released to other users.

OnePlus is doing a great job by keeping all of its devices updated with all the possible new features. OnePlus has also provided the Android 8.0 Oreo update to its OnePlus 3 and 3T users before any other manufacturer who uses a custom UI on their devices. OnePlus has also added its new feature to the update like the new Notes app, Weather widget and more feature to beta testers.
