Vodafone and Flipkart will offer Android Smartphones for Rs. 999

Telecom operator Vodafone and Indian e-commerce platform Flipkart have joined hands to provide select entry-level smartphones at an effective price of Rs. 999. Under this offer, Vodafone customers will get a cashback of Rs. 2,000 in their Vodafone M-Pesa wallets.

While there is no information about which phones will be available under the offer, it is certain that it will apply to entry-level smartphones. Also, there will be a cashback of Rs. 2,000 for Vodafone prepaid customers in the next 36 months, provided they fulfil certain criteria. Here are the details of the offer.

Vodafone and Flipkart have come together to provide certain entry-level smartphones at an effective price of Rs. 999. While you’ll have to certainly pay the phone’s cost at the time of purchase, Vodafone is offering a cashback of Rs. 2,000 over a period of 36 months.

The cashback applies to all Vodafone prepaid customers. You can buy a phone from Flipkart with Vodafone’s offer and you will get the cashback in your M-Pesa account over the next 36 months. The only eligibility here is that you will have to recharge your Vodafone prepaid number with Rs. 150 or more every month for 36 months. You will get the first Rs. 900 in 18 months, the remaining Rs. 1,100 will credit after the next 18 months.


Speaking about the offer, Avneesh Khosla, Associate Director – Consumer Business, Vodafone India said, “We are delighted to partner with Flipkart and extend this offer to our existing and new prepaid customers. This is an initiative to make 4G smartphones available at a never before price points and thus, democratize access to Vodafone SuperNet 4G. It will also encourage current non-users of 4G to upgrade and enjoy a richer user experience with Vodafone SuperNet 4G.”
