Reliance Jio announces data add-on packs, offers up to 6GB data

Indian telecom operator Reliance Jio has announced its data add-on packs that will offer up to 6GB 4G data to Jio users. As per the latest report, the add-on packs which were introduced earlier last week will offer only data benefits and not the voice calling benefits.

To recall, Reliance Jio had already introduced four new data add-on packs alongside the Rs 49 plan for JioPhone just last week. However, the company did not reveal the data offering at that time. Now, as reported by Telecomtalk Info, the data add-on packs will offer up to 6GB data on top of the standard prepaid recharge.

As per their report, the add-on packs of Rs. 11, Rs. 21, Rs. 51, and Rs. 101 will be made live later today. Reliance Jio customers can recharge them from Jio’s official site and app. You should note that these data add-on plans will work with regular recharge packs.

Reliance Jio Add-on packs

Starting with the Rs. 11 add-on pack, it will now offer 400MB data, while the Rs. 21 pack will give 1GB of 4G data. Next, the Rs. 51 pack offers 3GB data and the Rs. 101 add-on pack will offer 6GB of data. There is no validity period for these add-on plans and these will be valid with the primary recharge. So, you can enjoy up to 6GB of data on top of the daily data benefits.

Earlier, Reliance Jio used to offer five data booster packs – Rs. 11, Rs. 51, Rs. 91, Rs. 201, and Rs. 301. The company now offers only four affordable data add-ons and they will only offer data benefit, unlike earlier add-ons which offered both voice and data benefits.

These plans might be announced anytime within a few hours as per the information provided by the publication. Also, it is not yet clear whether these data add-ons will be applicable to JioPhone users as well or not.

If we talk other operators, Airtel has also introduced a data add-on pack of Rs. 193 in select circles. Airtel’s add-on plan offers 1GB data per day on top of the existing unlimited plan.
