Chinese smartphone maker Coolpad has announced a major price cut of up to Rs. 6,000 on its select smartphones in India. The Coolpad Cool 1, the Coolpad Note 5, and the Coolpad Note 5 Lite are the phones that will get the price cut.
The price cut offers are already live on e-commerce portal Amazon India. Customers can log on to Amazon to purchase the Coolpad phones at discounted prices. Moreover, the company is also offering data benefits in partnership with Indian telecom operators.
Coolpad Price cuts in India
Starting with the Coolpad Cool 1, the 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage model of the Cool 1 is now available at Rs. 7,999. The 4GB RAM and 32GB storage model of the Cool 1 is now available for just Rs. 8,999. The Coolpad Cool 1 is now the cheapest smartphone with Snapdragon 652 processor in India.
Talking about the Coolpad Note 5, it will now retail for Rs. 7,999, down from its original price of Rs. 11,999. Lastly, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite is now available for Rs. 5,999 after a price cut from its original price of Rs. 8,999.
Data offers
Apart from the price cuts, Coolpad has also partnered with telecom operators – Idea Cellular and Vodafone India to offer data benefits on select recharge packs. Vodafone will offer additional 45GB of 4G data with the Note 5 Lite, Note 5, and Cool 1 smartphones. Idea is giving additional 28GB of data on purchase of all the three smartphones via Amazon India.
Coolpad Cool 1 Specifications
To recall, the Coolpad Cool 1 smartphone was launched at the end of 2016 in India with a 5.5 inch full HD display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 652 SoC and it runs on Android Marshmallow. It is available in two variants – one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage and the other one with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
As for the camera, the phone sports a dual camera setup at the back. The phone has two 13MP sensors at the back and offers 4K video recording. Up front, there’s an 8MP selfie camera and the phone is backed by a 4,000mAh battery.
Coolpad Note 5 and Note 5 Lite Specifications
Coming to the Coolpad Note 5, it sports a 5.5 inch full HD display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 617 chipset and runs on Android Marshmallow. The phone has only one 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage variant. In the camera department, there is a 13MP camera at the back and an 8MP selfie camera. Both the cameras support LED flash. The device is fuelled by a 4,010mAh battery.
Lastly, the Coolpad Note 5 Lite is a stripped-down version of the Note 5. It comes with a 5-inch HD display and is powered by a quad-core MediaTek MT6735CP chipset. It has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The device has a 2,500mAh battery inside. Camera wise, it sports the same sensors as the Note 5.
