Huawei’s Honor is rolling out the Face Unlock feature to the Honor 9 Lite smartphones in India via an OTA update. Huawei last month brought the Face Unlock feature to the Honor View 10 as well, and it was reported that the company would bring it to the Honor 9 Lite as well. This feature has been rolled out for the Chinese Honor 7X users and now it is expected to roll out for the Indian users integrated into the Android Oreo update.

Honor 9 Lite‘s Face Unlock feature will enable you to unlock your smartphone just by looking at it. You need to enroll your face first to the smartphone from the settings. The smartphone will detect your face and recognize it everytime you look at the camera when the phone is locked. The smartphone detects the position of the face accordingly.

Honor 9 Lite will be the most affordable smartphone in the Indian market to support Face Unlock feature and will further emerge as the best value for money smartphone with superior hardware and software configurations.”
