Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 launched in China with Android Oreo, Quick Charge

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphone in India recently and the company has launched the smartphone in China today as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 with AI Dual camera. The smartphone comes with the same 5.99 inches Full HD+ display with 2.5D curved glass screen.

The smartphone has a starting price of 1099 Yuan for the 3GB RAM variant which is approximately Rs. 11,300, the 4GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 1,399, which is around Rs. 14,400 and the top model with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory variant is priced at CNY 1699 which is Rs. 17,400 approximately.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes in Black, Blue, Gold, and Rose Gold color options. The smartphone will go on sale in China from March 20th. The smartphone features a 5.99 inch full HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 636 SoC with Adreno GPU. The device is available in 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 64GB options. It runs on Android 8.1 Oreo layered with the MIUI 9 skin from Xiaomi.


The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 features a 12MP rear camera with dual tone dual LED flash with f/1.9 aperture and the secondary 5MP shooter comes with f/2.0 aperture size. The 13MP front-facing camera comes with LED flash and 1080p video recording support. The smartphone comes with a circular fingerprint sensor at the back and has an Infrared sensor to control TV and home theater systems.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with all the connectivity options like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS. The smartphone features a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
