OnePlus 6 notch rumours are real, revealed by first official images

OnePlus 6 notch rumours are true, as officially revealed by OnePlus just now. The next OnePlus flagship smartphone will come a notch up top to accommodate the front camera and the sensors, according to the official OnePlus 6 renders revealed by the company itself.

The OnePlus 6 was expected to come with a notch display after multiple rumours and leaks pointed at it weeks before the official teaser today. The full specs of the upcoming smartphone are all but known at this point, and the firmware files have also revealed the presence of the notch. Additionally, some rumours have suggested that the OnePlus 6 could be based off the Oppo R15 that was announced earlier this month.

OnePlus 6 specifications

According to the latest leak, the OnePlus 6 is expected to sport a similar rear camera setup as the OnePlus 5T. So, the OnePlus 6 might come with a 16MP primary camera with a 20MP secondary sensor and both the sensors will come with f/1.7 aperture. However, the front camera will get an upgrade to 20MP from the 16MP seen on the last two flagships.

As confirmed by several leaks and CEO Pete Lau as well, OnePlus 6 is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC, along with 6GB/8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB inbuilt storage. The battery might also be getting an upgrade from the current 3300mAh capacity of the OnePlus 5T to 3,450 mAh. The phone will run on the latest version of OxygenOS on top of Android 8.1 Oreo.

OnePlus 6 price

A recent leak suggests that the OnePlus 6 will cost about CAD $749 (approx. Rs. 38,000) for the base variant. Comparing it with the price of OnePlus 5T 8GB variant (Rs. 37,999), the OnePlus 6 will be slightly expensive but still way cheaper than the other flagships like the iPhone X and Galaxy S9.
