Xiaomi Mi 6X launched in China: Snapdragon 660, dual rear cameras and more

Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi today launched its latest mid-range offering, the Mi 6X at an event held in China. Currently, the device has been launched in China only and is expected to be launched in India with the name Mi A2 as an Android One device.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor and runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI skinned on top. It comes with a dual camera setup at the back and features a 20MP selfie camera at the front.

The Xiaomi Mi 6X runs on Android 8.1 Oreo with MIUI skinned on top. The device features a 5.99-inch full HD+ IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. The device comes with a 2.5D curved glass.

In terms of performance, the Xiaomi Mi 6X is powered by a an octa core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. The device comes in three variants – 4GB + 64GB, 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

Coming to the camera department, the Xiaomi Mi 6X features a dual rear camera setup at the back consisting of a 12MP primary camera with f/1.75 aperture and a 20MP secondary camera with Sony IMX376 sensor. On the front, the device comes with a 20MP selfie camera with f/1.75 aperture and soft LED flash,

The Xiaomi Mi 6X is powered by a 3,010mAh battery and comes with Quick Charge 3.0 support. Connectivity options on the device include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5, GPS and a USB Type-C port. Xiaomi has decided to remove the 3.5mm audio jack and comes with a USB Type-C port.
