Micromax Canvas 2 Plus with 18:9 display, 4000mAh battery launched for Rs. 8999

Micromax has launched a new smartphone Micromax Canvas 2 Plus in its Canvas series. The new smartphone comes with a HD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio, is powered by a quad-core processor and 4,000mAh battery, however, it still runs on Android Nougat.

The domestic company launched Canvas 2 last year and this new phone is an upgraded version of that. The new Micromax Canvas 2 Plus comes with a better display, selfie camera and some new features such as face unlock.

Micromax Canvas 2 Plus specifications

The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus sports a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an unspecified 1.3GHz Quad-core Processor which might be some MediaTek chipset. It packs 3GB RAM and 32GB internal memory that is expandable with microSD.

For optics, it has a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, 1.12um pixel size, and 80-degree Field of View. There is an 8MP front-facing camera. It also sports a back mounted Fingerprint sensor and selfie camera also supports face unlock feature.

The Dual SIM phone has 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS as connectivity options. It is powered by a big 4000mAh battery. The phone still runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS.

Price and availability

The Micromax Canvas 2 Plus is priced at Rs. 8999. It comes in Matte Black and Jet Black colors and is available via offline retailers across India.
